I am a Cagliari supporter, hence partial, but if Tonelli had not put his elbow out I'd agree with you. I think it's more a punishment to his superficial approach than a reward to the striker. He basically hit Joao with the elbow, that's it. They give those penalties in Italy. They laugh about it in England 😁.

I watch and loving serie A since Ronaldo Nazario da Lima came to inter. My concern its about when italian club or italian national team play at international level. FIGC need to figure out how to bring back the glory of italian foootball. CMIIW

@@andhikawayan Hi Andhika! In fairness there has been a clear improvement in the approach of the clubs especially with younger players, and Mancini is doing a fantastic job with the national team. But in general Spain, England, Germany and France have been doing much better and for longer, so we need to wait and see :)

I was watching the match, but the sound didn’t work, so I couldn’t understand why Augello got a red card... Can someone please explain to me why that penalty was worth a red and not a yellow?😊

He was sent off in the end of the first half because of the faul on Nandez. The refree gave him a yellow card, but after seen it at the VAR he decided to gave to Augello the red card. The red card was correct because when he made the foul on Nandez he was the last Sampdoria's defender, and the Cagliari midfielder was going face to face with Audero(Sampdoria's goalkeeper). The penalty was a bad decision imho, but the foul was made by Tonelli on Joao Pedro, and it was in the first part of the second half.

Cisio poor first half game from both teams, but Samp more compact and effective between the lines, except last 20 mt. The match was addressed by the penalty (gift) plus 10 men (right red card).

How referee changed his mind after watching VAR, everyone knew that was yellow card for Sampdoria player, not red one! It seems that cagliari paid to referee!
