@@SanTM In my modest opinion his stature didn't help him in getting what he really deserved, so he played his cards wisely and got a fortune by going to the MLS. Let's face reality, in most of the top level clubs, if you aren't Messi, they ask you to build muscles (check Goretzka and his transformation from before joining FC Bayern), if you can't they drop you. I think that, despite its own sadness, this could have been the reason.

I am Juventino and is so sad that my favourite Team "destroyed" his career... They never let him really play ..so much talent and also passion..he was also a fighter on the pitch.. This is so typical in Italy.Young Italian talents get often ignored.Is more important to buy Brazilians like Felipe Melo or Diego because you can write with Big Letters on the "Gazzetta dello Sport"... Morfeo, almost Pirlo when he played with Inter (Ancelotti saved his career), Giuseppe Rossi was same but thanks to Villarreall he became national player...The list is long ..What a shame...

I’d say Donovan, depending on how long they play Insigne or Bernadeschi could theoretically be called that as well. Nobody else did as much for Toronto as he did though, instrumental in putting the club on the map, the 2017 treble and that heartbreaking Champions League final run.

Giovinco mi piaceva moltissimo già quando giocava nella Under 21. Per me sarebbe potuto diventare il nuovo Roberto Baggio. Se ciò non è accaduto in piccola parte è colpa sua, ma soprattutto di chi non ne ha colto il talento facendolo giocare con maggior continuità. Scandalosa l'indifferenza verso questo calciatore che ha coltivato per anni la Nazionale italiana, proprio in un periodo nel quale essa era così priva di talenti!

Che grande rimpianto per la serie A. Troppo tempo sotto la Juve che non ha saputo dargli il giusto spazio. In un'altra squadra medio/grande avrebbe fatto molto di piú.

non è la juve, è proprio lui che non reggeva i grandi palcoscenici, ci sono quelle persone che hanno talento ma non hanno la testa per stare in grandi squadre. molto spesso siamo abituati a collegare un giocatore che non ha testa con uno scappato di casa o un rissaiolo, ma in realtà il "non avere la testa" può anche intendere troppo poco carattere per sostenere i pesi di una grande squadra.

@@TakeshiKovacsFan No no i primi anni si ma poi con conte la Juve aveva una signor squadra tra Pirlo Vidal pogma Marchisio la BBC etc etc eppure anche in quei anni dove tutti facevano bene è stato uno dei pochi a non convincere mai. Giocava bene contro le piccole contro le grandi spariva ha fatto un gol al Milan una volta e al Chelsea sul finale di partita e basta. Nelle altre partite importanti spariva era la formica atomica soprattutto nella personalità

Giovinco col fisico che gli ha dato la natura, se restava in serie A un paio di anni in più oggi andrebbe in giro con delle protesi al posto dell gambe. Fare i tunnel ai difensori fessi dell'MLS è "facile", in Europa ti arriva una sportellata nei denti prima ancora che ti venga in mente di farlo, ecco perchè Giovinco è un attaccante perfettamente nella media. Prendi, Ibrahimovic, 1 gol a partita a quasi 40 anni nell'MLS...non scherziamo, i giocatori sopra la media sono questi, non quella caccoletta agile.

Giovinco is a fine player, nothing absolutely exceptional, but still fine. He would still be a key footballer in mid table teams and he knew that. So he's decided to move to MLS and become just the best in the league. Try to blame him

Sebastian Giovinco ruined his last part of his career when he moved to Toronto in 2015 when he was in his physical prime at 28🤦🏻‍♂️, and moved to Al Hilal in 2019 at 32🤦🏻‍♂️. Amazing talent with the ball especially his long shots dribling and key passes! Remember his best season in 2011/12 for Parma with 15 goales and 11 assists.
